Director of Manufacturing

The continued high demand for Trailtech trailers requires us to find more high performing individuals with great attitudes to join our team.  We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Manufacturing to join our team.

Reporting to the company President, you will lead a 40+ person cellular manufacturing organization from fab to finish.  You are an exceptional manager and a thoughtful leader (and know the difference). You have extensive experience in Lean manufacturing techniques. You have managed a high functioning safety program and believe in the results achieved.  You are comfortable on the shop floor and in the office and can adapt your approach to acheive positive results in either environment. 

As the Director of Manufacturing you will:

  • Be responsible to maintain an environment that ensures our Daily Goals are met:

Safety, Quality, Productivity, Happiness

  • Have 10+ years of experience in manufacturing in roles of increasing responsibility
  • Be certified or otherwise familiar with Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Have 5+ years of team lead/supervisory/management experience or otherwise be ready to move into the role based on exceptional interpersonal skills & maturity
  • Have strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Have an obsessive attention to detail

 

Furthermore, you will:

  • Realize people results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within all processes
  • Supervise scheduling to assign personnel; establish priorities; monitor progress; revise schedules; resolve problems; report results through weekly efficiency calculations
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provide information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements

Team Lead

The continued high demand for Trailtech trailers requires us to find more high performing individuals with great attitudes to join our team.  We are currently looking for an experienced Painter to become the Team Lead in our Paint Department.


As the Team Lead in our Paint Department you will:

 

  • Have 5-7 years of experience with liquid spray-on paint on Industrial Equipment
  • Have 3-5 years of team lead/supervisory/management experience or otherwise be ready to move into the role based on exceptional interpersonal skills & maturity
  • Have strong written & verbal communication skills to train & mentor others
  • Work within the paint process on a daily basis to meet customer demand and complete line audits
  • Be responsible for the output of the team to known technical specifications
  • Have an obsessive attention to detail
  • Setup, operate and maintain spray equipment & booths
  • Select, mix and apply appropriate paint coatings to company specifications
  • Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when required
  • Work closely with Maintenance Department to eliminate production delays
  • Identify, trouble shoot and correct problems with equipment, people and process
  • Work diligently within our QC Program to ensure high quality and effective reporting
  • Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, company rules, policies and procedures
  • Have previous experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing

 

NACE Certification would be a great asset
